What is Google’s Trusted Copyright Removal Program?

The Trusted Copyright Removal Program (TCRP) is Google’s dedicated framework for a select group of organizations that meet rigorous standards for accuracy, volume, and compliance in copyright enforcement.

Admission to the program is limited to companies that have demonstrated:

• Consistent submission of high-quality and accurate notices
• Capacity to manage large-scale enforcement operations
• Strong compliance record with Google’s policies
   

Why Does This Matter?

Google remains the dominant platform for content discovery. With approximately 92% of users relying on Google Search and 84% making decisions based on the top 20 results, the visibility of content in Google’s search results has a direct impact on legitimate consumption.

Furthermore, Google’s search index powers a wide range of other services, including Perplexity and various AI-powered search tools. Effective enforcement within Google’s ecosystem therefore delivers protection across multiple discovery channels.
